    Description

There are NONE of these motorcycles out there, I looked, nation wide.  NO 1985-6-7 or 1988's: THAT RUN AND DON'T NEED WORK !!
This one runs, starts up, shifts well and most everything is correct; except that dang front fender, the graphics and the exhaust.
A very fine 1985 FZ750 w/1988 engine (single ignition pickup). The whole motorcycle is my original moto. The posted mileage; 34,000+ from 1985 until now.
(Someone won the motorcycle and never paid the deposit. So,  here it is.....again, up, for bid.)
Engine and wire loom is from a heavily vandalized 1988.  The odometer reading on THAT motorcycle:  12,123.8  miles.
Engine VIN :  3BU000701     Frame VIN:  see above in this ad.  Mechanically sound, no leakage, no exhaust smoke and no strange noises from engine or tranny.
Decals/graphics from an outfit in England.  They're just OK, but not original and the size is not quite correct.
Exhaust.....4-into-1  An original after market early carbon fiber from 1986.  Sounds great !!   Not too loud.
12,124 miles on the 1988 engine.  Got a great deal on engine.  My original starter, alternator and carbs are used.   Carbs have been apart and cleaned.
    Individual FSC air cleaners.
Wiring has been replaced and is 1988 loom.
New tires and tubes,  rebuilt brakes with new pucks and pads, new rear brake disc and Bimota master cylinder, front brakes have new pucks and pads and they are original discs.
Front brake master cylinder is NOS Yamaha while the clutch master cylinder is aftermarket and slave clutch cylinder has been rebuilt.  ALL brake/clutch lines are braided steel.   Ya can't clean the old rubber lines.
Engine, prior to installation in frame, was on the bench and....I did a leak down test.    From 1 thru number 4 cylinder:  160, 160, 161, and 162 psi.  At those numbers, the pistons were forced down and the wrench on the end of the crankshaft rolled right over to the table top.  Valves and rings...perfect !
Clutch is new Barnett.  Spring, steel discs and friction plates are new.
Frame and rims and tank are powder coated.  Tires and tubes are new . They still have the tire " hairs ".
Front end seals and caps were replaced and chain is new, NO MASTER LINK, it's continuous as called for.
New sprockets, 17/45.  Rear shock...YSS Racing.  Have original rear mono shock.
Seat is recovered, tank was boiled out and those dings are from 36 years of use.  All gauges and lights work.  Radiator is original cleaned out 100% aluminum engine coolant.
Hoses are new, "O" rings replaced on cooling system.  I did run a switch to fan.  I can cool it down manually with the switch and thermostat does work.  Easy, works in city traffic much better.
The front fender is a repro that didn't fit so a grandson MADE it fit.  I cannot find any original fenders in any shape anywhere.  A German cat has a pair for a 1991...I don't think it will fit an '85 front end.
I am selling this due to Parkinson's   (good 'ol Vietnam and Agent Orange).
I cannot balance a HIGH center of gravity 465 lb. moto when I stand and the racing position is too uncomfortable for me now.
The motorcycle has NEVER been laid down.  Original bars and end weights attest to that.
Manuals, shop and owners AND dealer assembly booklet, plus a good bunch of parts, large and small, some you cannot find are going with bike, note last pix.
Fairings in front, aftermarket.  Front fairings (white) are merely gel coat on 'glass. Wear on gas tank top: tank bag
Battery replaced:  June 3, 2021.    Powder coat: July, 2019.  Engine install,  ALL retro fit and NEW items installed Sept.---Oct. 2020.
    Ask questions............this moto...HAULS BUTT !     This is not a, " learner ", motorcycle.
Title is clear from Nevada, it is licensed in Nevada.    Previous license:  Colorado and California
Sold, "as-is", no warranty of any kind is expressed or implied.  Last time on this site.....great deal if you love this type.  Offers , go ahead and offer.
