    Description

    Nice condition medal for the Afghanistan Campaign, 1880s.  Medal is named to Private W Jackson, 2nd Battalion 9th Regiment of Foot.   Per the medal rolls, he would have warranted the Kabul clasp, which is now missing.  Also looks like he would have received the India General Service medal with Jowaki clasp.  No idea where that medal is.  Looks like Jackson was discharged in 1883.
    Minor dings to the rim of the medal, polished at some point.  Old collector or dealer tag stuck on the back of the drape.
