    Description

    Victorian/WW1 British Medal Group: Queen South Africa with six clasps (Belfast, Diamond Hill, Johannesburg, Orange Free State, Modder River & Belmont). King South Africa with two clasps (South Africa 1901 & South Africa 1902), WW1 1914-1915 Star & WW1 Victory Medal grouping of four.
    QSA: “1335 Pte. W. Ryan, Cldstm: Gds:”
    KSA “1335 Pte. W. Ryan. Coldstream Guards.”
    14-15 Star & Victory Medal: “9684. Pte. W. Ryan. North’d. Fus.”
    Private William Ryan served with the Coldstream Guards during the Second Boer War and saw extensive combat, earning 6 clasps for the QSA and 2 Clasps for the KSA. Private Ryan re-enlisted for World War One with the Northumberland Fusiliers and was discharged at the conclusion of the war in 1919.
    All medals and clasps are confirmed on the rolls seen in the last two pictures, both copies are included with medals.
