WWI BRITISH MILITARY CROSS & TRIO MINIATURE GROUP IN SPINK CASE

Description

This is an extremely fine British Military Cross 4-medal miniature group in its case that remains in excellent condition. It consists of the Military Cross, the 1914-1918 Star, the 1914-1918 War Medal, the World War I Victory Medal, and the WWII Defense Medal. The planchets are sharply struck and exhibit exquisite detail. The medals are mounted side by side on a silver bar that is with functional swing pin and catch assemblies. All ribbons are clean and without damage. The bar comes in its original Spink marked brown leather case that measures 3 inches square and is with decorative gold embossed border on the lid. The push button spring catch works perfectly. The interior is lined in black velvet with a white satin lid pad that is marked, “By Appointment Spink & Son, Ltd.” A fine-looking miniature First World War medal group to a gallant front line British officer.
